It is with great sadness that we report the sudden passing of Stewart Middleton, Tref y Clawdd RFC's Number 8.
Stew was welcomed to Trefy at the beginning of the 2015 / 16 season. He made an instant impact to the team, scoring on numerous ocassions over the course of the year.
The Tref y Clawdd RFC v Old Tyleryan RFC match on Saturday 27th February was played in his honour, with a minute's silence having been respected by all players and spectators prior to the game. The 53 - 6 scoreline was one he would have been proud of!
A big voice both on the pitch and in the changing room, he will be sorely missed by his friends and team mates and our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
The celebration of Stew's life will take place at Clun Church at 3pm on Thursday 10th March. Those attending are asked not to wear funeral wear or bring flowers. Further information is available via the Shropshire Star and the County Times.
